Vial representing Retatrutide
Weight Loss Research

Retatrutide

A triple-receptor agonist under formal clinical investigation.

Controlled human research

Reference listing: 10 mg · Reviewed October 29, 2026

Why three receptors are studied

Retatrutide combines activity at GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon receptors in one molecule. Researchers investigate how these endocrine systems interact in the regulation of appetite, glucose and energy balance. Receptor activity is a description of pharmacology; it does not establish that every formulation or supplier produces the same effects.

What the obesity trial measured

The published 2023 phase 2 trial enrolled 338 adults and followed treatment over 48 weeks. It compared a study-manufactured product with placebo, measuring average body-weight changes and adverse events. The highest-dose study group had a mean weight reduction of 24.2%, compared with 2.1% with placebo. This is a group average from a particular trial, not a prediction for an individual or a claim about Black Pine Labs inventory.

Reading benefit and tolerability together

Gastrointestinal adverse events were common in the trial, and changes in heart rate were also reported. The same publication should be read for both outcomes and safety observations. The study does not establish interchangeability between clinical-trial material and independently sourced research products.

Understanding the reference vial

The amount printed on a vial identifies its stated catalog content, not an experimental concentration or a recommended dose. The current app listing and the matching batch documentation should be used when checking the material actually available. Illustrations identify the compound and are not a certificate of its contents.

Interpreting the evidence

A research paper describes the material and conditions used by its investigators. It does not test every commercial source. A matching analytical report can help address identity or content, but it does not by itself establish clinical effectiveness, sterility, or safety. Keep analytical quality and biological evidence as separate questions.
